Chandler Allen, MA, LPC-A

Chandler is supervised by Becca Coley, MA, LPC-S

From Chandler:

I believe that every person is inherently worthy of dignity and is capable of healing, change, and growth. My heart is to walk alongside others as they navigate their stories, both the beauty and the pain. I am passionate about making a space where my clients can feel safe to be fully themselves and know that they are not alone. It’s a privilege to witness the courage it takes to face hard places and see the hope that can emerge in the process.

Current Practice:

I am excited to work with people from all stages of life, and I am especially passionate about working with couples who want to strengthen their relationship and feel more connected. My approach to counseling is collaborative, warm, and rooted in curiosity. I don’t come with all the answers or take sides, but I work to create a space where each partner can feel seen, understood, and cared for as we explore what is happening beneath the surface of conflict and work toward new ways of relating to one another.

For married couples, I provide a space to slow down, better understand the patterns that create conflict, and learn healthier ways to communicate and work through disagreements. Often in marriage we can feel stuck in the same arguments, struggling to feel heard or understood. My goal is to help you move toward greater connection, understanding, and trust.

I also enjoy working with engaged and premarital couples who want to build an intentional, strong foundation for their marriage. I am certified to facilitate the Prepare/Enrich assessment, which helps couples explore important areas of their relationship, identify strengths and opportunities for growth, and have meaningful conversations about the life they are building together.

In addition to couples counseling, I work with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, motherhood, and questions of spirituality and meaning. Whether I’m meeting with a couple or an individual, my hope is to create a space that feels safe, grounded, and nonjudgmental.

Training:

I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology at The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology. My training emphasized the integration of psychology, theology, and culture, equipping me to approach each client holistically. Before beginning graduate school, I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Communication from Texas A&M University.

Background:

I moved to Austin with my husband and kids three years ago, and we love making this city our home. I enjoy hosting friends for dinner, exploring fun restaurants with my husband, and am especially passionate about snuggling up with a good book and a cup of tea at the end of the day.
